I have to have things to change to from my February challenge. Which are a old English sheep dog cushions and a reupholstered foot stool. These two projects I am going back to today, but I thought I would show you how far I got with March project. It’s a crocheted loop stitch bomber jacket. The sleeve of the loop stitch is done in a chenille wool and the cuff is done in a misty grey chunky wool. I taught myself how to do loop stitch yesterday from a you tube tutorial..
the crochet hook is a wooden one 5.5 mm.

It looks like a good start, that loop stitch looks very neat with all your loops the same length. How are you getting on with that wooden hook, I have one or two that have all the decoration on it like that one, reminds me of the posts on stairs. I found it hard to hold but I think it was because I hold my hook like a pencil.
Well done at a new craft technique! Looking really good!
Gosh it’s more intriguing, what will it become linda
The cuff feels and looks the same stretch wise as the knitted version liz. I will show pics of the crocheted side ways rib as this jacket will take some time for me to do. In fact I have decide to turn this bit up side down and make a tea cosy, or even something small maybe a hat .😁
That is interesting linda the cuffs look knitted , how does the cuff feel stretch wise ? Post WIP pics for me I will be interested
No Liz they are crocheted side ways in to the back loop of each stitch, and then they look like ribbing.
Looking very interesting , are the cuffs knitted linda
