This is my quince cheese I just made when it is set I will cut it in to square portions and wrap each portion in parchment paper then in cling film and freeze In the freezer until needed.
It’s called cheese because it set solid like cheese and you can cut it in blocks . Nothing to do with cheese as an ingrediant. Also it’s not clear like crab apple jelly as you use all the pulpe as well as juice when you put it through a sieve or moulineux , to get rid of the pips and skin , only other ingrediant is sugar.
I use it with slices of cheddar cheese and crusty bread or spread on toast and crumpets, or with cold meats . put chopped pieces of quince cheese in with the chopped apple to make an apple pie. It just gives that extra unusual taste.
