I made cooking apple and blueberry jam this morning and still have loads of apples left , there are bags more blueberry’s in the freezer so will do another stint of jam making at the end of the week I need to buy more sugar.

Yeah - mine was runny last year, but it was also good as a sauce over cake and savouries. I also made apple butter with lots of cinnamon.
But our crop is still on the tree.😶

Oh ok that’s interesting. I know my mom and grandma both made jam and it was delicious but I never bothered because no one likes jam other than me.
To get it to set you have to re boil the jam adding lemon juice, but it will do as a pie filling I am not bothered to make it set. 😁
Shame it didn’t set but sounds wonderful for a crumble. I’ve never made jam only I eat it and that is rare so not much point, is there nothing you can do to get it to set if it fails first time?

Thanks liz, it hasn’t set so it is now a pie/crumble filling . Or put on top of your porridge in the morning. It won’t get wasted😁
